You will watch this in action, and you will say, Why the CGI? And then you will realize that there is no CGI.

The show is Bang Goes the Theory, which I assume is some sort of answer to, and/or alternative of, Mythbusters. I’d mock the guy for being so enthusiastic about this, except… well, he has a vortex cannon and I do not; that places him higher up on the geek pyramid than me, and there’s no getting around that.

You could have one made.
I could. I could also keep paying my mortgage. Guess which one the wife favors?
She has to favor building a robot to arm with your vortex cannon, right?
Hm. How about a compromise? A robot prosthetic arm WITH a vortex cannon attached!
Aye, buy the cannon and you may go broke. Pay the mortgage, and you’ll prosper … at least a while. And spending your last dollar for Obamacare in your bed, many years from now, would you be willin’ to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell the straight arrows that they may take our money, but they’ll never take… OUR GEEKDOM!
Sorry, that’s just what came to mind.
I she might go for it if it was a Steam Powered Vortex Cannon.
I hate to poo on your parade, but there was no motar with bricks. It was just a very tall, very unstable stack of bricks. You could have pushed it over with your hand. Still, physics is fun.
I believe that the point is that the fellow instead pushed it over with a vapor ring traveling at 200 mph.
