UBS is a major Swiss financial institution – and one that’s recently been showing up in a lot of stories about Americans being indicted for tax evasion. The latest one was yesterday, actually – and the timing is interesting. Not that the UBS issue is really on the public’s radar right now…

Rather than UBS, perhaps it was that Roman P’d finally run out of string. But OTOH, a cople of times before, they may have warned RP before when the US Marshal’s wanted to file an extradition arrest, but the pressure on UBS also could have been the tipping point and this time, RP got no warning. He has a house in Switzerland, but perhaps “raisons d’etat” overrode his residency privileges.
