That’s the thing, Matt: it’s not an effigy. The sculptor was attempting to flatter the President by creating a bronze bust of him that bursts into FLAMES.
I should also note that this was done in flagrant disregard of Time’s intellectual property rights.
I won’t pick nits with you on this.
