“You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away,” Help! [UK]

So… why is none of the Beatles’ stuff on MP3, anyway?

  • Neil Stevens says:

Because Apple Corps is inept at adapting to change.

  • Doug Stewart says:

Because the remaining Beatles want a guarantee of restitution from EMI for every copy of their works that makes it out onto P2P sharing sites.

    Which is patently crazy.

Oh, and they released a limited run of thumb drives with their entire catalog in 44kHz FLAC and 320kbps MP3s. Oy.

  • Aaron Gardner says:

I thought it was because Michael Jackson owns the song rights?

  • Joshua says:

They released the Beatles Rock Band, so they aren’t quite as shy as they used to be about releasing their music. I know there was an Apple vs Apple trademark dispute for a long while, but I understand that’s been resolved…so I don’t know what the hold up is either.
