Book of the Week: Out of the Dark.

Out of the Dark won’t be out for a couple of months, but it looks promising: alien invasion meets… well, it’s the Balkans and the word ‘predators’ is used, so we can just assume vampires/werewolves. Yeah, yeah, I’m a sucker for that sort of thing – but it’s David Weber, so there.

And we say Dasvidania to Android Karenina.

  1. Oh man, I didn’t even know this one was coming. Wish it was Baen instead of Tor so it would be reasonably priced. I guess I can wait the year for the price reduction though.

  2. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF – why is he spending time on this when he has three other series that need attention, especially the sequel to “We Few”?

  3. Only 3? Which multiple series are you leaving out?

Seriously, he’s said that while they plan to do another book in that series, it won’t be a sequel, instead, it’s going to be a prequel, explaining the foundation of the Empire of Man. While I’ll read that one, me, I’d rather get a Hell’s Gate sequel, or another Honorverse, or another Safehold book first.

  4. Feh. I gave up on Weber after the fourth HH book. Cardboard characters, 2D minor characters…sorry, my money will go towards the next Bujold book.

So…what’ll y’all bet on this time? “Eyes like leveled missile batteries” or “eyes like leveled crossbows”?
