…Yeah, that was a bad ending to the DO:A saga.

I’m not going to say anything about it – spoilers, and all that – but I expected a bit more. On the bright side, space cleared for more Mass Effect 2 DLC! No, wait, they’ll release the bridge DLC and shut that down, too. Just you wait.

And so the eternal cycle of expectation, happiness, and crushing disappointment continues. At least we got Leiliana’s Song out of them.

  1. Okay, we’re in the comments now. Spoil away. I just don’t want to pay for what I’ve been told is an amount of story that could easily have been done in a brief cut-scene.

    1. One amusing set of conversations/book stuff at the Tower, one good reverse-map crawl at the Deep Roads, one tough-ass fight in the Wastes… and the ending was one freaking glorified cut-scene and I don’t even know if all the reward gear loaded up.

Mass Effect 2 is my master now.

  2. So which DLC packs would you say were worth it? I’ve been holding off getting the game so as to have all the main story stuff together.

  3. Lair of the Shadowbroker is very very good. Most of the ME2 DLC’s are pretty good.

For DA:O, the two that came with the game are good. I love Shale, so there you are. As for the rest, Leliana’s song is fun. Return to Ostagar can be creepy if you bring Alistair and Wynne, is better if you bring Loghain and Wynne and has very nice loot. The rest are varying degrees of ‘meh’ IMHO.

  4. I really liked Awakening, which is a real expansion-sized bit of content. Leliana’s Song was pretty good, mostly because I like her character and voice actress. The rest I got mostly because I am addicted to Xbox Live achievements.
