Fine. Since I apparently need to have…

…one of these Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows in order to play Assassin’s Creed 2, I’ve added it to the Wish List.

I hope that you’re all happy now.

PS: Seriously, though: what am I supposed to do with the blessed thing?  I don’t play that many shooters and I don’t expect that I’ll be playing Assassin’s Creed 2 again after I complete it, assuming that I do.  I don’t know if there is any point to playing it again, in fact.

  1. Well, do you have a 360? All the 360 for windows controller is is a wired 360 controller. Plug it right in to a 360 and you’re good to go. Put it up on ebay if you don’t want it. It will be bought.

If you already own a 360 with wireless controllers, you can get a wireless receiver for the pc so you can use them.

  2. Certain games tend to work better on the gamepad (I’d argue Mass Effect 2 would be one). Others work better with mouse ‘n’ keyboard (Dragon Age would be one). If you look at it as a way to not have to mess with a keyboard when you are only entering less than 10 commands anyways it should eventually justify itself.
