It’s not really fair, though, to compare any music video made before MTV with more modern stuff. I was on a music thread on another website recently where everyone was quoting youtube links, and my contribution was a Tom Lehrer song; I felt obliged to add the disclaimer that since Lehrer had recorded it over 50 years ago, that of course it wasn’t going to be up to modern video standards.
