1. Right – people keep forgetting that if you have a gun and ammo, then in a pinch you can get anything else you DON’T have.

3. Heh, it’s probably plausible to people living on either of the coasts, but here in flyover country, those of us who prep as a general rule have the weapons and ammo covered…

4. I’ve actually made similar comments to people who talk about “stocking up on gold” in case teh economy breaks down.
   If things really get that bad, do you really want to be known as ‘that guy who always pays for stuff with gold coins, so he must have a lot of them…”?

5. I laughed my a$$ off when I saw today’s Dilbert. You clearly had the same thought I did.

6. I’m also reminded of the shooter “Metro 2033” where ammunition *is* currency
