#rsrh What will it take for people to admit that Chris Christie is not running?

Reportedly, the press conference that New Jersey Governor Christie has called today for 1 PM is to indicate, yet again, that he is not running for President in 2012. Which, given the way that people have ignored all previous attempts by the man to tamp down speculation, will not do a darn thing to end said speculation.

What does Christie have to do? Eat a puppy on national television*?

*I stole that, by the way.

PS: I’ll probably listen in on the feed anyway.  Because, you know, maybe I’m wrong.  Besides, Christie’s always entertaining to listen to when he’s annoyed.

  1. Rumor has it that if he makes a puppy smoothie at this presser and drinks it in one huge Christie-an gulp, Glenn Reynolds will throw his support behind him.

  2. It’s easy, Moe. All he has to do is announce he’s switching parties and going to run against Obama in the Democrat primary. Heck, I’d vote for him there, and other than his union stance, he’d be a pretty good fit as a moderate Democrat. So of course the media would set out to destroy him.

  3. Think of it like fantasy football – some people aren’t going to want to drop their pick until he’s well and truly out for the season.
