In The Know: Has Halloween Become Overcommercialized?
I actually like doing door duty on Halloween: the kids are generally well-behaved where I am and it’s nice to see my neighbors. Plus, the surly-adolescent-who’s-not-even-trying percentage is surprisingly low here.

I do miss the Bonfires. The current style of observing the Holiday is really kind of boring, safe, but boring. I also have noticed that the percentage of adolescents who barely make an effort to dress up has gone down in the my area also, is something going on?
