The new “Rainbow Connection.”

From the new Muppets movie soundtrack.

Rainbow Connection, The Muppets

By the way… movie theaters need to really keep their ventilation systems in proper order.  You don’t do that, the damned dust can really build up.

#rsrh Debate’s at 9 PM, and I have some advice…

Or, rather, Senator Blutarsky does:

Vodkapundit has the right idea on this one.  It’s not even that I don’t think that the debate won’t be interesting; it’s just… how many of these things have we had by now?

Anyway, it’ll be on ABC News.

#rsrh Time to re-check the explosive charges in the Chunnel.

Great Britain is looking over with some alarm at the rest of Europe again.  They probably won’t have to, you know, set those charges off any time soon – but, you know.  Be prepared, and all that.

What?  Yeah, suuuuuuuuure they don’t have any explosive charges there.  After all, they are one big, happy fleet.

And here I thought that the Gandhi statue was now a beer bong.

“It” being the Peace Abbey’s Gandhi statue, which disappeared in the chaos that was the lancing, draining, and disinfection of the Occupy Boston boil on Beantown’s ass.  I didn’t think that it was stolen, per se: simply that it was going to end up in somebody’s garage, or maybe get turned into a pretentious art project… or, again, a beer bong.
But the Occupiers managed to exceed my (extremely low) expectations of them and cough up the statue.  It’s even in one piece!  Generally speaking: (more…)

Are there SECRET Fast & Furious emails from Eric Holder?

Maybe.  Just possibly maybe.  Check out the video below showing freshman Rep. Sandy Adams of Florida – I had the pleasure of interviewing her last year, by the way – grilling Attorney General Eric Holder over Operation Fast & Furious.  For those of you unfamiliar with the Congresswoman, Rep. Adams is a former police officer whose first husband (also a police officer) was killed in the line of duty… so you can imagine what kind of reception Holder got from her when it came to Holder explaining why the US government deliberately gave guns to cop-killers.

The part that I want to highlight starts at about 4:38: a transcript of the relevant comments after the fold, with items of especial note particularly highlighted.

ILWU backpeddling from job-killing Occupy attack on West Coast?

Background (H/T: Instapundit) next Monday there is supposed to be an organized shutdown of the West Coast’s port facilities by the Occupy movement – if you’re wondering why the heck they’re going after port facilities, it’s because the Occupy movement has a lot of anti-globalization sorts in it these days, and those people hate free trade with a passion that normal people reserve for rapists – and supposedly said shutdown would be supported by the private sector unions that would be immediately affected by it.  Most important one? The International Longshore & Warehouse Union (ILWU).  The Occupiers are expecting the ILWU’s support in their shutdown.

Witness the solidarity! (more…)

“Miracles [Explicit]“

“F*cking magnets, how do they work?”

Miracles [Explicit], Insane Clown Posse

It’s funny: I’ve never actually listened to ICP before.  Is it all in this style? – Because I liked this.

Annnnd Pixar’s “Brave” trailer.

This one may be more iffy: as my wife has noted, Pixar’s female characters are… not often all that distinguishable (her gold standard for a good female animated character is Disney’s Mulan*), and this may be conventional tween angst-fodder.

On the other hand, Pixar.

Moe Lane

*I’d back her up on this: Mulan would not be the only Disney princess who I’d allow to join my adventuring party, but she would be the only one that I’d let stand watch or take point right away.

“The Pirates! Band of Misfits.” trailer.

My wife assures me that this:

…is absolutely an adaptation of this: Pirates! in An Adventure With Scientists

Which is a book that she loves, by the way.  Personally, having it done by the people who did Chicken Run is what’ll get me in the theater…

Team Romney’s pointless reach-out to the Leftist press.

More interested in solving the mainstream media issue than in talking to conservatives?

Background: Matt Lewis noted with no little bemusement that some folks working for Team Romney had a conference call where folks from organizations from the table below were invited and were given the opportunity to ask questions, while “Townhall.com, HotAir, Daily Caller, Washington Examiner, National Review, Weekly Standard, American Spectator, or Washington Times” got left out in the cold.  Ed Morrissey over at Hot Air was willing enough to note that they didn’t give an invite… and I’ll chime in that – as far as I know – neither did RedState.  Which doesn’t surprise me in the slightest, given that Team Romney apparently… well.  I will be nice.

But never mind that.  Conference calls are often themselves tools of a Lower power, anyway.  Instead, let’s look again at who got invited, and who got to ask Team Romney questions:

…Saw the Muppets.

I had something melodramatic planned for this post, but then the movie started.  After two hours of laughing and crying, I don’t want to cheapen either.  It was pitch-perfect, and better than I deserved.

If you still miss Jim*, you’ll feel better after seeing this movie.
