Yep, those giants are complete douchebags. I came upon the scene where a group of bandits were attacking a giant and his pet mammoth. I immediately went after the bandits, attacking with a gusto that only those who are friends of justice can muster. Unfortunately, all that did was make the mammoth, the bandits, AND the attending giant immediately turn and start attacking me. Only my habit of saving every 5 minutes (a safety behavior painfully learned from playing previous games based on the gamebryo engine) kept me from losing my mind completely.
That, to me, is Skyrim in a nutshell. A ball of awesome, coated in silliness that comes from an unpolished product. *sigh*
