Well, so much for free Amazon Prime two-day delivery. [UPDATE: they got it in!]]

[UPDATE, 11:58 PM]: Well, I will be dipped in shit.  I open up the door to throw out the recycling, and there the package is.  Never mind…

I’m not really angry, but I am a little surprised that they’d not make sure that somebody who was testing out Amazon.com‘s Amazon Prime’s free two-day shipping would have no cause for complaint for the free one-month trial period.  I mean, free shipping is nice, but reliability is a legitimate concern, too.

Ach, well.

  1. I’ve had it for a couple of years now. They’ve occasionally missed the deadline (and, when I would complain, weasel with “It’s an average,” or something), but there have also been times when they’ve surprised me with next-day delivery. I figure it evens out.

  2. Same, been using it for several years here, probably average 1-2 deliveries a week on it, and they’ve failed to meet 2-day delivery exactly once, when the entire eastern half of the US was under snow.

  3. Odd, I’ve had it since they introduced it. Never had it late. Occasionally, they even delivered overnight. And I really use it for all my online purchase.

  4. Big fan of it, and never had an issue thankfully – and for some items, I do get it in one day!

  5. Have used it for years, UPS completely lost my packages a couple times but Amazon made good including free next day air.

  6. I dropped it after my 30 day because they tried to ding me for shipping after advertising an item as being available for free 2nd day. Lotta mumbles and no explanation or willingness to back down on their end.
