  1. One of Isaac Asimov’s short mystery stories revolves around solving the puzzle: in what year is _Pirates_ set? Did Gilbert and Sullivan account for 1900 not being a leap year when stating that Frederick wouldn’t reach his 21st birthday until 1940? Fun puzzle, with an interesting solution.
