#rsrh The Lefty War on ALEC.

I’m not exactly a fan of Bill O’Reilly, but I share in his disapproval of this attack against the American Legislative Exchange Council by the shadowy group Color of Change.

Particularly since I’m a McDonalds’ stockholder myself. It’s not that groups like Color of Change are being activists when they attack groups like ALEC; it’s that they’re being hypocritical activists. You’d think that a group from the side of the spectrum that is supposedly so big on transparency would be more transparent about their own funding.

I told McDonalds and Kraft they can kiss my business goodbye. Can I count on my husband to follow through, absolutely not, but my craving for an Egg McMuffin this morning was not satisfied. We still have hard boiled eggs left over from easter and it is probably just a bit healthier.

  • earlgrey says:

LOL. You really eat that? Those came out when we were kids(definitely aging myself here), and my brother loved them. He isn’t with us anymore, but I think of him everytime they put up those signs about the McRib being back.

BTW, I have never eaten a McRib. THis is what I got back from McDonald’s after I complained.

“Thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald’s. We appreciate the opportunity to share some information with you.

First of all, I want to thank you for your positive feedback about this restaurant in (location removed by me). I have shared your feedback with the owner of that location for their review.

Secondly, while McDonald’s was a member of ALEC in 2011, we evaluate all professional memberships annually and made the business decision not to renew in 2012.

Again, we appreciate your interest in McDonald’s and look forward to serving you again soon.
