RIP, Richard Dawson.

He was 79 years old.

I’ll be honest: I’m going to remember him best for his part in The Running Man, which was… a mediocre film, except for Dawson.  I forget who said at the time that Richard Dawson deserved – and wouldn’t get – an Oscar for his role, but I agree: he was robbed.

Mediocre yes, but sure had a lot of foreshadowing that came true in modern media

How about his brief appearance at the end of “King Rat” (1965)?

mostly because I’ve seen it alot, and it is an AWESOME movie, I remember him in The Devil’s Brigade.

Wasn’t he also on Hogan’s Heros? Loved that show growing up. But I agree with Moe, I’ll remember him in Running Man before I remember him on anything else.
