#rsrh A PSA for dealing with Obama voter’s remorse.

Like, say, Peggy Noonan’s.

I know that you’re going to hate this, but here goes: when it comes to Republicans, swing votes, or even not-crazy Democrats/liberals* who are in full disillusionment mode… smile and nod when they whisper to you how awful it’s all become, and how none of it turned out the way that they thought that it would. Be sympathetic. Console. I think that it was Ace of AoSHQ who noted that what these people need to hear is that it’s all right for them to recant. They were misled and lied to. They didn’t deserve to be tricked.

Yes, this will be hard. But the goal is to get those whispers of discontent turned into shouts, so suc…h is life.

  1. Yep, this is the whole point to Romney’s “he’s a good guy, but….” approach.

Don’t attack Obama *personally* – attack his policy and say he didn’t know any better because he lacks experience.

  2. Would this maybe cause some liberal conversions? That will be mean to make them bleed from the eyes and ears. That is if they are true libs with the lack of bloodflow to the head.

  3. So AFTER the election, can we return to shouting and blaming them for the utter stupidity that is Obama? Because, it really is their own dang fault. They were amply warned in 2008.

  4. A lot of people who voted for O’Bama in 2008 won’t be voting in in 2012 and maybe never again. They still have no idea how much damage they’ve done, especially to themselves.

  5. “President Obama’s problem now isn’t what Wisconsin did, it’s how he looks each day—careening around, always in flight, a superfluous figure. No one even looks to him for leadership now. He doesn’t go to Wisconsin, where the fight is. He goes to Sarah Jessica Parker’s place, where the money is.”

No one *ever* expected leadership from Obama, Peggy. Well…at least some of us knew….
