So, back to Skyrim: Dawnguard for me…

…so far the new parts of the game look a bit crisper than the rest, but that might just be me not remembering the way it looked before. And am I really stuck with just steel crossbow bolts? Gimme something with a little oomph to it, already. I’m seventy-freaking-ninth level, here!

Sheesh. 🙂

PS: I don’t play vampires.

  1. Ditch the crossbow and start smithing Daedric arrows and/or dragon bone weapons! Why they didn’t let you do that in the base game I’ll never know…

  2. Yep, there are already mods out there to tweak your crossbowing experience. Seek and ye shall find.

  3. The vampire as a playable character has always struck me as repugnant. I blame Anne Rice for making the vampire what they are today. Obviously, she under the influence of the Red Court.

Fortunately, Correia has made a good effort to return the vampire to its proper place.

  4. So Moe, let us know if it’s worth the $20 for a DLC. Personally I’m waiting for the winter STEAM sale to pick this up… and maybe even longer. $10 for a DLC is good. $20? Sorry, I’ll wait for the sale.

Also, ye gods yes, mod that sh*t up! Try this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21666 and let us know how it works.

  5. If you want some better crossbow bolts, do some runs through some Dwarf ruins. The automatons can drop Dwarf bolts. I got like 200 of them and I have yet to start the Dawnguard stuff.
