Wired is the last paper based mag that comes to house and will be the last since I will not renew. After their absolute blind eye approach to Obama’s roll in the Clean Tech Bust (Jan issue)I feel it is my duty to let them know I NOTICED.

I think the Prez is upset that most of the goofy pictures in the report are of crosshairs on Middle Eastern-looking people (albeit they are all holding guns, rocket launchers, etc.). That always gets in his craw for some reason. If those were all conservative-looking shooters, he might have released the report himself, perhaps with Janet’s help.

The President’s naive, childlike faith in the ability of anonymous bureaucrats to do their jobs without ever, ever mucking it all up is in full display here. Makes you wonder what else is bubbling away down there…

I don’t think it’s faith so much as a lack of understanding of what “responsibility” entails. He likes to give orders, but he doesn’t realize that even if he ignores a problem on his watch he’s still ultimately responsible for it. I can picture him in his little room watching ESPN and waving staffers away with “Don’t bother me! I’m busy!”
