#rsrh US Secret Service under Obama continues to live down to its new reputation.

At first, I thought that this was funny:

A U-Haul being used by the secret service for Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to the Labor Day Rally in Detroit on Monday was stolen out of a hotel parking lot Sunday morning.

(H/T Gateway Pundit)  But it’s not actually funny.  It’s alarming, if not downright nerve-wracking.  If the Secret Service can’t even notice when one of its own vehicles gets stolen, what precisely guarantees that they’ll notice if something gets added to one of their vehicles?

Sorry* if that ruins the joke for folks.

*That’s what’s known as a ‘polite’ sorry.  Which is to say, a fib.

  1. Well, Detroit is the most ungovernable place in the country. This is largely due to recent history being full of corrupt mayors who might have killed someone at the mayoral mansion and who definitely had affairs and attacked cops.

On the other hand, Mayor Bing is probably smart enough to not get caught at any underhandedness he engages in.

  2. So…… bolt-cutter-ready projects are bad, shovel-leaning-ready projects are good?

  3. God keep all the candidates safe. This administration’s divisive rhetoric has stirred up some really nutty people. Reminds me of my Dad’s admonitions about Quija boards and the like: “You really have no idea what you may be summoning.”

  4. This is the second group we aren’t supposed to hear or think about – SEAL teams being the other — that are in enough of the news that we all should not be happy.
