…because if we are, I gotta tell you: I just finished Anthony Ryan’s Raven’s Shadow Book One: Blood Song (Raven’s Shadow), and dear GOD but it was good. Low-to-mid fantasy novel, completely self-published on Amazon Kindle, why the HELL this guy doesn’t have a book deal is beyond me completely; it has a little unevenness in the first chapter, but it picked up damn fast right afterward and was a delight to read. For three bucks it’s a steal.
