BREAKING: Obama calls for a double-tax attack on high earners, small businesses.

Some now, and some next year.

Money quote
: “(A deal now) would give us more time next year to work together on a comprehensive plan to bring down our deficits, to streamline our tax system, to do it in a balanced way–including asking the wealthiest Americans to pay a little more,” Obama said. …It takes a special kind of negotiator to start off against a hostile opponent by telling them that he’s still going to push for more if you give him what he wants right now.

Take that adjective any way you like.

  1. I strongly object to this continuous talk about “investment”. To me that is the bigger issue hear, not the taxing.

He is saying he wants to tax more so he can spend more.

And no, it is not an investment. It is a payoff. It is a sucker’s bet. It is a crock.

And when they talk about “investing in education”. INvest in education by getting rid of crappy teachers first. Fire the so-called character counselors and other non-teacher overhead beyond essnetial administrative positions and stop shutting parents out of their kids’ education.

  2. Nothing he says surprises me anymore, but the lying is just hard to swallow. Still talking about them “rich” folks (how kindergarten), and unfortunately, low-information voters swallow this hook link and sinker.

Notice how he isn’t so gray anymore? He added gray this past year just for the election, I expected it and sure enough saw it happen…now he is back to normal.

  3. Exactly what is it with the liberal obsession about $250,000? How did that become the magic number by which someone is “rich”?

At this rate, I’m expecting Congress to declare that we are going to be taxed at 100% with our money distributed as we need it.

    1. Simple Alinsky class warfare, Cameron. Heck, simple bullying.

Pick a big enough number that only a small number of citizens meet, alienate them, so they can’t reasonably fight back, and then kick ’em. Repeatedly.
      .
Somewhere around 47% of citizens pay *no* iucome tax. A small subset of
taxpayers make over $100,000, an even smaller subset make over $250,000.
      .
Separate this group out, freeze them, and beat on them. This is hardly news.
      .

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

  4. Dear Obama – you’re not “asking” a damn thing. Unless you want to make IRS payments voluntary…
