Get “Cast a Deadly Spell” and “Witch Hunt” on DVD, dagnabbit.

I wish to give the people who own these properties money for a DVD copy.
Mon-ey.

Several years ago I noted for the record:

It is downright criminal that [Witch Hunt] and its prequel (Cast a Deadly Spell) are only available on VHS.

I still stand by that statement.

PS: …What? Oh, it’s H.P. Lovecraft meets Raymond Chandler. And the first part was not implicit in any way, shape, or form.

YES. THAT WAS ON HBO.

  1. Dang. This has me at David Warner.

I still say the voice acting of Irenicus in Baldur’s Gate 2 is what made that the epic it was.

    1. I actually saw both when they were on HBO. They’re easily good enough to be worth putting together a DVD, particularly considering the crap that gets published and sent directly-to-the-remaindered-bin.

  2. I saw both on HBO as well, didn’t like the second one as much. Hopper is a bigger star but I liked fred wards take on the character better. I also liked it better that they left the reason that Lovecraft won’t use magic a mystery. Still, they should put these out as a two-pack.

  3. I like Hopper, but I thought Fred Ward was much better in the movies. He just played the character…better.
