No, but everyone who doesn’t like Aretha Franklin is a Commie. And since Commies are wrong by definition…well, there we are.

Most blues singers don’t ever perform the song the same way twice .. that meant the shots of Aretha singing *had* to be gotten live.. Apparently, they tried dubbing it early on, but the audio track just wouldn’t line up…

I especially like that they cut off Blue Lou’s head .. don’t know why they did it, nor why it stayed in the movie. Just one of the odd bits that you notice after the umpteenth time through…
