BTW, while I don’t approve of prostitution, I don’t actually have much of a problem with American citizens who patronize prostitutes abroad…provided it’s legal in their port of call. Which, in the Dominican Republic, it happens to be. Doing what the Romans do in Rome sometimes means taking advantage of brands of decadence that aren’t legal at home.

On the other hand, if one breaks the laws governing that legal vice, like having sex with a prostitute who happens to be UNDERAGE, well, that I have a problem with — both as an American who doesn’t really approve of prostitution, and as someone who doesn’t think laws are there to be broken.
.
And on the gripping hand, as our host would say, it’s one thing for your average Joe Yankee to call on one of Santo Domingo’s many fine ladies of the night. It’s quite another thing if you happen to be a sitting U.S. Senator. And it’s an even more amusing other thing when there’s a contributor involved.

Hillary’s “What difference does it make?” line is not going away, neither are Travelgate or cattle futures or Rose Law or Benghazi … and that’s what I can think of off the top of my head.

I think the Clintons may be retiring to the role of “party elders”… and that does open the field to Booker and Biden and whoever else jumps in.

2016 looks like it’s gonna be a Dem Demolition Derby .. and I will be in the stands with popcorn and a vuvuzela.

I had not considered that, I would have to look and make sure that Booker could run for Menendez’s seat in 2014; if not well Lautenberg is going to get an involuntary retirement because Booker has his eyes squarely on 2016 Presidential election. 2014 would give him the same amount of Senatorial experience as Obama, an even better backstory (mainly because it is not the figment of Bill Ayers’s imagination) and more executive experience having run something larger than a lemonade stand.

No, I’m not gonna go look up who Christie’s #2 is, and I’m not gonna check whether Christie even gets to appoint .. I’m just wondering whether Sen. Chris Christie would be .. sustainable.

In addition, what does Obama care if the FBI does Menendez? It only means Menendez resigns and Booker takes his seat instead of kicking Lautenberg’s can to curb. No truth to the rumor that F.O.B. (Fear of Booker) has caused Christie to run to Axelrod’s left and Lautenberg to drop a dime on Menendez’s love for underage Dominican hookers.
