MSNBC (!): Democratic operatives trying to undermine #benghazi whistle-blowers.

Apparently nobody told the n-dimensional geniuses over at the White House that it’s not the crime, it’s the cover-up.

Transcript of remarks, courtesy of the Weekly Standard:

“There is something called Benghazi going on,” said [NBC’s Lisa] Myers. “And I think the Democrats now are starting to worry about it. I started–I got calls from a number of Democrats yesterday trying to undermine Greg Hicks’s testimony, saying he wasn’t demoted, etc. So I think they feel that some damage was done by those three witnesses on Wednesday.””

Not smart, Democrats. Not smart. Especially since stuff like this is appearing on MSNBC, which typically is regarded as being friendly towards this administration.  Or at least doesn’t hate it, like MSNBC hates conservatives and Republicans.

PS: Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal wants a bipartisan Select Committee to investigate this mess.  One with the power to subpoena. Wonderful thing, a subpoena; I think that this is a marvelous idea, and look forward to Speaker of the House John Boehner creating a committee with all due speed.  He should get Buck McKeon in on that, too: I hear that the Armed Forces chair is having just a little trouble getting Benghazi-related information from the Defense Department, despite the fact that he has every right to request it and the DoD has every obligation to fulfill it.  I figure that Buck there would quite like to have a subpoena or two available…
