How many liberals would have known the story of Lilliput and Blofuscu or however you spell it. Heck how many people in general would have heard of the “little end and big end of the egg” story before Ted Cruz mentioned it on the Floor?
It has relevance in computer engineering. Little endian and big endian, IIRC, are terms describing which end of a string of bits is most significant. This apparently originates from Swift.
