It’s not so much the shoe thing. The Washington Post has a big paper to fill, every day – and God knows that it’s not going to go nuts trying to find examples of Democrats Acting Badly. But that “fourth from left” thing… seriously, people. It’s pretty blatantly obvious that Kathryn Ruemmler is the only woman in that picture. It’s been part of the pattern since before Barack Obama became President.

Seems more likely than the alternate explanation .. the best thing they can find to say about Ms. Ruemmler is that she has expensive taste in shoes.

I don’t get the obsession over shoes, but a similar attack was leveled against Sarah Palin. It was the focal point of a number of news stories, so it evidently resonated with reporters. (For some unknown reason.)
Given the example of Eric Holder, probably the nicest thing WaPo could find to say about any Obama lawyer is one of them has some pretty sweet shoes.
