“Americans Own Nearly Half of the Privately Owned Guns on Earth.”

So nobody had better mess with us, got it?

“In 1994, the United States was home to about 200 million privately owned guns. Today, that number has ballooned to between 270 million and 300 million. That’s almost half of all privately owned guns worldwide, according to…”

…a rather thinly disguised paean to gun control that shamefully tried to use dead kids to push their agenda; hence, the cutoff of the quote.  Hell of a thing when a major liberal group’s publications have less substantive statistical information (not to mention, actual insight) about gun violence than does something written by, say, Cracked.com.

  1. I’d have to guess we also own about half of the privately owned bows and crossbows and we’re slowly but surely getting to the same place with swords. We’re probably way ahead on fighting knives though something about the American Character just prefers a fighting knife to a sword. Witness the Bowie knife, Buck knife, switchblade, spring knife and the like.

I’m sorry…are they saying that is a bad thing?
