    1. They are more poignant if you look at the history of the great lake and the number of wrecks that are in them. Many don’t realize the size and strength of these lakes that we in Michigan are surrounded by, fresh water seas is a better discription. If you are ever this far north you should visit the church to the fallen sailors.

  1. Not a good song if you live in Michigan Gator, I’ve been on that Lake and the Gales of August will freeze your bones. But yes probably the most haunting song ever written. Doesn’t make me feel good to hear it tho, especially with tree limbs breaking from the weight of the fruit on them. Going to be a hard winter.
