Some FOOLS threw a bag of money on the Senate floor*!

That’s like throwing a bucket of chum into piranha-infested waters!

Not seen: the immediate appearance a writhing sea of legislators and lobbyists, each determined to snatch away that sweet, sweet free money that doesn’t even come with a vote obligation.

Moe Lane

*Shh. It’s a better title this way.

Goldman Sachs got tired of actually handing money to individual Senators. They figured it was faster just to throw it on the floor and let the legislators scurry over and get it themselves.

Like legislators would demean themselves in such a manner
for such small denominations of bills.

I’m reminded of a scene from Smallville, where Lex Luthor says to his brother: “The Luthor gene pool is a shark tank, and our father just chummed the waters.”

Why is there a large bag of cash in the Senate building anyway? If my bank gets a prickly about large cash deposits and withdrawals (ohhhh, you might be a drug dealer MrB..), then I think we need to know who brought the money, and what were they attempting (probably, sadly, probably successfully) to purchase?

“They aren’t in season, and even if they were, you can’t bait ’em.”
