For all of your “Explain to folks how bad Sebelius was today” needs. #obamacare

The NRCC went ahead and created a useful list called the “7 Most Ridiculous Things Kathleen Sebelius Said At Today’s Hearing:” there were more than seven, of course, but these were particularly… well, ‘good’ is not really the right term, eh? Anyway, this one’s my favorite:

2. “The website never crashed.”

“We were anxious to get the website up and running and functional, which we clearly have failed to do to date, although I would suggest the website has never crashed,” Secretary Sebelius testified about HealthCare.gov.

Really? What about the woman who tried every day for 23 days to log onto the website? And what about the fact that although HealthCare.gov did indeed crash just days before the October 1 launch, you decided to proceed with the rollout anyway?

That was a brutal, and very useful, Sebelius hearing. #obamacare

If you’re a political junkie like me, it was full of excitement; more importantly, if you’re a propagandist like me it was full of Democrats saying stupid sh*t for the cameras, and Republicans confronting Sebelius with named examples of all the people she and Barack Obama have injured with Obamacare.  Which included Rep. Cory Gardner, who challenged Sebelius to go on the exchanges herself, just like him.

Sebelius apparently thinks that it’s illegal for her to go on the exchanges, by the way.  Which tells you everything that you need to know about the core competencies of the people that this administration decided to trust with YOUR health care policies.

New York state Health Department sending desperate #obamacare callers to… cupcake shop.

This is not a good month for Obamacare.

Thanks to ObamaCare, New Yorkers can now get health insurance with rainbow sprinkles.

In yet another bungle for the botched government insurance rollout, the state Health Department has mistakenly listed numerous non-health-related business as enrollment sites — including a Brooklyn cupcake shop that has been besieged by callers.

The aggravating bit? If we had a proper free market, that cupcake shop could take advantage of this screwup and start selling those people health insurance policies.

Via… somebody or other.

North Dakotan woman hates Halloween, and apparently small children.

Is this woman utterly mad?

A North Dakota woman said she’s not planning on handing out candy to children she believes are “moderately obese.” Instead she’s giving them letters.

The woman’s plan to take childhood obesity in her own hands is sparking much controversy after she called into a Fargo, N.D. radio station early Tuesday morning.

Somebody should explain to said woman the reason for the season. Continue reading North Dakotan woman hates Halloween, and apparently small children.

“A Promise He Could Not Keep.” [video fixed.]

[Video fixed: I don’t know why the code wasn’t loading earlier, sorry.]

The House GOP has produced… the video that all of you wanted them to produce about Obamacare.

One that simply shows all the people who are being hurt by Barack Obama’s (and by extension, the Democratic party’s leadership’s) lies about how ‘if you like your plan, you can keep your plan.’ Well, that was not true.

The House GOP is collecting more of this at YourStory. If you have been hurt by Obamacare, and you want your story heard, go there. Because we need to run one of these every single dang day until Obamacare is gone, and for that we need to hear from the people who Barack Obama sneeringly deemed not worth the bother of trying to bribe.

“Dogs Playing Magic” Kickstarter.

I was torn on this one.

You see, as most of you remember I participated in the “Dogs Playing D&D” KS; which made getting this print problematical. It’s getting harder to find blank wall space, frankly: and, lets face it, this style is a little kitschy. On the other hand, I wanted to highlight it, because it’s kitschy AND cool. And on the gripping hand… I don’t like recommending Kickstarters that I’m not contributing to.

So I shelled out five bucks for a digital print. There. Problem solved.

RS Interview: Lt. Govenor David Dewhurst (R, Texas). #prolife

Yesterday, as you might have read, a federal judge ruled that several elements of Texas’s abortion reform laws were unconstitutional (although not the section that restricted abortions after 20 weeks). As you might recall, RedState spoke with Lt. Governor Dewhurst after the bill finally passed, and we spoke to him again yesterday:

Short version: Texas is going to fight the court case, Texas is expecting to win this, but pro-abortion groups are going to be pushing back whenever possible, so pro-life activists need to stay on top of the situation.

@RepTomPrice: I actually did tell folks that they would lose their plan under #Obamacare.

That he did, that he did. in 2009:

…which is really awkward for a lot of people on the Left right now, I know. But, hey, what can we say? We know how government works. Or, more accurately, doesn’t.
