Anybody else noticing a weird pop-up thing happening in tabs in Firefox?
I click on a site, and up pops up another tab of ads. Just started happening a day or two ago. Weird.

You have a virus. Sites that don’t have pop-ups, that now do, sounds like you have some malware.
Neil informs me that I have popunders, which have apparently been around forever. 🙂
Yeah, they are a form of malware. Any good anti-virus worth its weight in gold, should be able to do the trick.
Running the scans now.
I recommend Malwarebytes to fix your problem, followed by HitMan Pro. It’s free for a month, but it’s well worth the cost. So no, it isn’t Firefox that’s the problem.
One more thing: if your popunders are difficult to keep cleaned, check your router to see if it has been hacked. Happened to me a couple of years back. Easy to check and probably worthwhile.
I use Adblock Plus, a free plugin for Firefox. Using this, I never see adware unless I am in IE.
Another thing I do is arrange my programs in Control Panel => Programs by date. That way I can see the names of the latest installs, do a search on ones I do not recognize and uninstall.
