Houston, we have a Assassin’s Creed IV problem.

Sea shanties.

It has sea shanties.

This is bad.

    It’s worse. They are *collectibles*

Penny Arcade had pretty funny comic about this very thing this morning.

    Actually, it’s very good.

If you wasted hours uncounted on Sid Meier’s Pirates! then get this game.

And what, pray tell, is wrong with sea shanties? What are you, some kind of land lover (and you live in Maryland, which pretty much sits on the Chesapeake Bay)? I thought you were Irish?

The damn game is SEVENTY BUCKS on Steam, when you buy everything. That’s a good hunk of change.

      • Luke says:

AFAICT, the DLC are separate Assassin’s Creed missions using different characters, or added aesthetic options that individualize the appearance of your ship or character. The whole “explore the Caribbean and play pirate” aspects aren’t touched.

The basic version is a pretty long game. Especially if you enjoy exploring, challenges, and side missions.
