Georgia’s actual #Obamacare paid signups only… HALF?

OK this is something that should make the White House clear its schedule for the rest of the week.

Georgia insurers received more than 220,000 applications for health coverage in the Affordable Care Act’s exchange as of the official federal deadline of March 31, state officials said Wednesday.

Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens, though, said premiums have been received for only 107,581 of those policies, which cover 149,465 people.

Because if that is anything like the numbers that the rest of the country will be seeing, then the administration is… all of the good terms are at least vaguely dirty. But applicable: Barack Obama tossed in a lot of chips when he did his victory lap last week.  Having Obama’s brag number cut in half is simply going to make the President look like a dunderhead, and there is simply no way for a President to recover from getting the reputation that he is a dunderhead.  And, more to the point, also it’s going to kick our health care system in the ribs a few more times.  Gotta wonder why the Democrats hate health care so much, given the way that they savage it on such a regular basis…

Oh, Moe … *shakes head sadly* The President is going to look just fine, because this didn’t happen. Do you know how I know that it didn’t happen? Because it wasn’t reported by our tireless searchers for Truth, the Mainstream Media! If it were true, you’d know from the reports on the Associated Press, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and CBS/NBC/ABC/PBS/NPR/MSNBC, right? Because this is important! But you read it on Georgia Health News — what do they know?

  2. Huh,

And now we know why they are moving the goalposts in measuring all of this. They want just enough obfuscation that they can eventually make any discussion moot.

“What does it matter?” writ large across the healthcare landscape.

    1. Your right. It does not matter how many are hurt by this law, all that matters is that there are now potential “victims” that the MSM can trot out if the GOP actually tried to repeal it
