John Foust (D CAND, Virginia-10) wants to force Medicaid on everybody… except his wife’s medical practice.

Ach, the hypocrisy of the world!

The OBGYN practice of Marilyn Jerome, the wife of Democratic congressional candidate John Foust, does not accept Medicaid, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

What’s that that I hear you cry? “What’s the big deal?” Well…

Foust has repeatedly attacked his Republican opponent Barbara Comstock for opposing the Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act in his campaign to represent Virginia’s 10th district.

Basically, the Democratic candidate is both yelling about Medicaid expansion AND using his wife as part of his campaign; which does indeed make it awkward that Dr. Jerome’s medical practice does not accept the very program that her husband is currently trying to use as a weapon against the Republican candidate.  Then again, it’s hardly a surprise that Dr. Jerome’s practice won’t take Medicaid: lots of doctors don’t, or more honestly can’t. And I agree: it should not particularly be a campaign issue that a candidate’s wife is leery of Medicaid.  Then again, it’s not my fault that it is, given that blame for that falls squarely on the shoulders of John Foust.

Well, John Foust and Barack Obama.  It’s his fault that Foust and every other would-be Democratic legislator is in this mess in the first place.
