Hillary Clinton shows the anti-Bush Left the Hawaiian Good-Luck Symbol.

I do not believe that Hillary Clinton actually believes this, but I do believe that she believes that she needs to act like she believes this.

[Yes, I know.  The picture has become an auto-loading turtle semi-live webcam, instead.  Dunno why.  Still, it’s soothing.]

…George W. Bush is very popular in Sub-Saharan Africa. Why? Because of PEPFAR, the President Emergency Program For AIDS Relief. Whether you agree or disagree with a lot of what else he did — and I disagree with a lot of it – I am proud to be an American when I go to Sub-Saharan Africa and people say, ‘I want to thank President Bush and the United States for helping us fight HIV/AIDS.’

Secretary Clinton’s problem, of course, is that while a good number of people don’t hold Clinton’s catastrophic failure at Benghazi against her, the people who do are also among the people most likely to react well to a favorable reference to George W Bush.  And, of course, there’s a correlation between being suspicious of Hillary Clinton’s progressive bona fides, and hating George W Bush with the terrified cowardly passion of a billion burning, sullen suns.  So one wonders why Hillary Clinton bothered.

PS: Like Breitbart, I agree that Hillary Clinton criticized Barack Obama as much as she dared in that interview.  Alas, the woman apparently doesn’t care to dare much. I always enjoy seeing somebody from the other side learn the wrong lesson from a political defeat…

PPS: in 2009, it seemed like everybody was convinced that it’d take decades before anybody would say anything nice about George W Bush’s policies. Turns out that all it took was five or so years living under a remarkably poor replacement. I imagine that every person who defines him/herself by their hatred of GWB are rather… put out …by this.

And yes, I am laughing at the Activist Left.  Even when they think that they’ve won it turns out that all they’ve gotten is a new set of people to degrade them, and shake them down for money.  One would think that they’d learn, except that by now one knows that they won’t.

    1. A person who is only known for having a large posterior and a sex tape screaming on auto play not working for you?

  1. “Past performance is not an indicator of future returns”, only for failures, Moe.

But still, I’m with you, betting on failures.

          1. I don’t mind turtles, because they are fellow reptiles. We have to stand tall together against mammal’s superiority complex.

It is those genetically inferior amphibians I have a problem with. The only good frog is a dead frog!

That statement would be a lot more reassuring if the the Republican party had ever actually moved to reduce the size and scope of the federal government.

    1. And if the GOP didn’t make it well known that it wish its activist base was as dumb and forgiving as the Left’s base.
