Well, I’m sure that new Democratic Montana Senate candidate Amanda Curtis MEANS well.

Or at least she means something.

Some people never seem to learn that social media is this giant whirring cloud of razor blades that can flense a person’s political career in an instant. I mean, seriously: no politician who wants to run in a statewide race anywhere should ever be recorded with an unmistakable sneer in his/her voice when saying the word ‘Christianity.’ I don’t care what the context is, because neither will voters.

And no, life is not particularly fair.

Moe Lane

PS: Admittedly, I am punching down here. One reason why it’s not going up on the front page of RedState.

  1. … Just out of curiosity, Moe, what’s the metric for ‘punching down’ here?
    .
    Cash available?
    .
    Office you’re running for?
    .
Phone numbers in D.C. who will answer if their caller ID shows your name?

    1. Honestly? …Probably the last one. Although it’s not “Moe Lane” that gets the answers and callbacks. It’s “moe lane of REDSTATE.”

      1. I take that as confirmation that D.C. is still consistent in their stupidity, their “cultural air lock” is still fully functional.

        Sad, really.

  2. Why wouldn’t she think family was the most basic form of government if she really is an anarchist at heart? Good campaign slogan “Anarchists for Bigger Government”
And anyone who confuses Frankenstein with his monster is beyond all cultural redemption.

    1. …Possibly not. Vermont is the only state in the Union where progressives have You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers bumper stickers on their cars.

      1. Yeah, but that hasn’t stopped pro-assault weapons ban people and borderline commies like Bernie Sanders from getting elected.

Mind you this woman is arrogant and annoying, and if a Republican like Jim Douglas were to run against her she’d lose in a landslide, but as far as her stances on the issues go, Vermont has and continues to vote for such.

  3. 100 years of Democrats holding this seat is going to end because they ran a plagiarizing scumbag and a woman who sneers at “natural law” “the Bible” and “Family”

  4. She’s an “anarchist at heart” — but votes for more government power.
    .
Which just reinforces my conclusion that self-proclaimed “anarchists” are really Marxists; their “anarchy” is the “withering of the state” their cult tells them comes after the “dictatorship of the proletariat”.

    1. George Orwell fought along side with the POUM, the Marxists-Anarchists in Spain. My vague understanding of Marxist-Anarchist is that each factory would be a government unit. How did factories come into being? The stork delivered them.

  5. Moe? what comes after DOOM? we’re already into Sarnath territory and it’s only August….

    1. “Spreading the DOOM around”?
      .
Specifically, getting as many Moe Lane readers as possible asking other D candidates to respond to Ms. Curtis’ statements…

  6. No offense meant about this remark, Moe, because I’m a huge fan — and I actually agree with you that you’re punching down, here. But reading that still made me flinch a little. Something is very wrong when a blogger can legitimately say that about a U.S. Senate candidate.
    .
Of course, this is the age of Obama, so…there’s the root of the problem.
