All *right*. Time to make some meat pies.

…What? No, that’s not a euphemism or anything. I have some cooked cheap steak leftovers, some potatoes, an onion or two, and some pie crust dough. Gonna mix it all up and bake ’em for my lunch this week.

But I figure announcing on Twitter that I’m making meat pies will get some amusing responses. Because I’m a giver that way.

I admit to wondering who was on Moe’s little list. Being a polite cat, I shall not post any guesses…

        1. Technically, *eating* human meat is the medically risky part – if you use proper butchering techniques and gear, just *harvesting* it is reasonably safe.

The moral part I leave to you and your deity, however I do have to point out the truth to that old Texas law that allowed “He needed killin'” as a valid legal defense.

  1. There was an old scifi short story, I think in Analog, in which all the animals had died out in a space colony, so everyone was vegetarian, except it was customary to make jerky out of a deceased loved one.

Eating human meat is a bad idea for lots of reasons, but the medically risky part is due to bacteria, unless you’re eating the brain and there are some weird prions floating around. Make sure to cook thoroughly.
