All right, I might as well ask: was Cinderella any good?

I do not have daughters, you see: so I have been spared the need to see this, thus far. But I admit to some curiosity as to whether the movie was any good. I assume that eventually I’ll have to:

Besides, I assume that it will be the harbinger of an endless wave of live-action fairy tale movies. So I might as well find out now if the trend at least started off well…

  1. No daughters here either, but as I happen to be a girl myself, I am also curious. It has a lot to live up to.

  2. Wife boys and nieces caught an advance screening last week, all thoroughly enjoyed it, and the cast is generally better than most live Disney things.

  3. All of the women and girls in my family (and extended family) all went to see it together. It got a very favorable reviews all the way around including an order to buy the movie when it releases… something she doesn’t often say. So I guess it was good.

  4. Hmmm…I may have to see it, now — it’s got Robb Stark and Xaro Xhoan Daxos in it…

  5. I’ve got three daughters. I’m fighting tooth and nail to avoid it.
    So far, I’ve succeeded.
