Come watch the Activist Left stage a phony racism scandal in realtime!

Look, I haven’t had sufficient coffee yet, so don’t expect me to pretend that this isn’t a setup, OK?  It has all the signs: ” Stickers that have appeared on at least six East Austin businesses declaring that they are “exclusively for white people” have now drawn the attention of the NAACP and a state lawmaker.”  …Said state lawmaker has now started screaming off and yelling about boycotts, in the expected manner; and the article goes on to note that the stickers seem to have been slapped on stores in a nigh-random fashion.  Couple that with the fairly professional layout of the stickers – and, more importantly, the stilted language in them, which is pretty much written out how lefties think conservatives talk – and, well, let’s see how long it takes for the story to fall apart and somebody comes clean about it all.

I give it 24 hours.

  1. They aren’t very good at this, are they….?

12:20 p.m. update: The manager of El Chilito Tacos y Café said that stickers were found on the restaurant’s Manor Road and East Seventh Street locations.

  2. I’ll also throw out that when the vandals are caught, they will argue that they “wanted to start a dialogue.”

  3. Eh, this is bored white liberals trying to stir up some crap during SxSW, when things go insane around here.

I don’t go to the East Side much, might have to go there for dinner tonight…

    1. Did it or was in on it …
      .
Here’s a techie piece for the next person thinking about doing this .. if you have the stickers printed somewhere, there’s a paper trail .. but if you print the stickers yourself, your printer will “tag” them .. and there’s a paper trail.
      .
Just putting that out there .. because it’d be very bad for whoever created them to take all the blame ..

  4. Its liberals, not sure if its white or black, seems to be someone is trying to bring attention to the gentrification “problem”. NAACP might’ve done it themselves.

  5. My bet: “The photo was originally posted on Facebook by Brianna Smith, who said she walked by the store on Wednesday morning.”

  6. They posted them on stores they thought were owned by white people. Ironic and intended to Start a Dialogue , therefore acceptable. Some of the stores are owned by People of Color. Oops.
I think the State rep us in on it, her outrage meter is dialed up way too high.
