Buried lede: Comedy Central expects Republicans to win in 2016.

You don’t load up a guy like this to replace Jon Stewart if you’re expecting four more years of a Democrat.

On Monday, Comedy Central announced that South African comedian Trevor Noah would be replacing Jon Stewart as host of The Daily Show. To get a feel for Noah’s brand of humor, one could simply watch his debut on the fake news show in December of 2014, when he jokingly declared that present-day America had worse race relations than Apartheid South Africa.

Quote of the Day, The Washington Free Beacon Visits Iran edition.

I despise the Iranian regime. Persians are generally notably undeserving of the regime that they’ve been saddled with:

Americans in Iran are generally regarded with a degree of skepticism, but not for the reason you might think. Iranians want to know what you’re doing in Iran, not because they suspect you of plotting a coup, but because they know American passport holders could spend their vacations anywhere else on earth (give or take a few tin-pot communist police states), and feel sorry for you.

I need an alternative to Powergramo. One that actually WORKS.

It’s got to be something that can record Skype calls, and something that doesn’t have a registration process that falls apart when the human that is supposed to send you an unlock code doesn’t bother, after you send twenty requests for it over two days.  I paid money for this.  I had to pay more money to get an emergency unlock of the interview that I needed, because that’s automated, at least.

YES, I AM ANNOYED. WHY DO YOU ASK?

Maybe they should understand why people are angry? – Oh, wait, my bad. That courtesy is reserved exclusively for people who throw gay people off of buildings. This is why the Democratic Establishment is still desperate to run Hillary Clinton.

One chart is all you need.  From NBC’s 2012 exit polls:

Today is my birthday.

Forty-five, for those keeping score at home – and if you are (I assume that the personal sites of people involved in political sites are tracked, because that’s what you do), then I hope you’re getting paid a good deal for it.  No, really. It sounds like a subtly horrible job to have; your compensation should reflect that.

Anyway, I will be doing as I please, today. So should the rest of you. It’s Saturday! Go take your family out to brunch, or something.
