We *will* have Russ Feingold to kick around again!

This should be entertaining.

Former Sen. Russ Feingold (D) on Thursday announced he will challenge Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) in 2016, setting up a rematch in the critical swing state of Wisconsin.

In a Web video announcing his candidacy Thursday morning, Feingold portrayed himself as an independent voice that will reach across the aisle to get things done.

…Um, no.  You see, Russ Feingold will not win unless he abandons any pretense of following the absurdly restrictive – and frankly anti-democratic – constraints on political speech that are literally his trademark. That means that Russ Feingold will become the creature of the Democratic party in general, and the DSCC in particular: which means that he will become the Democrats’ dog.  Dogs do not get to “reach across the aisle to get things done.”  They do what their masters tell them, or else they get hit with the stick.

Mind you, the Democrats are overestimating their chances for that seat. They thought that they were going to win that race last time, too; just like the Democrats always think that they’re going to win all the races at this point in the cycle. Admittedly, you can hardly expect them to admit otherwise…
