I cannot but think that this might have been a bit of a mistake.

Wasn’t one of the surfing locations in the original film named Point Break? So the title had a double meaning? After watching that trailer, the only thing the title could mean now is “Hey, remember that movie that was kinda awesome and kind of awful too? Yeah, we’re making it again, only worse and with no name zero charisma actors!”
The dude who plays Bodhi had charisma. In a Spanish language film. I watched it on Netflix. Pretty decent despite having to read English subtitles throughout the whole thing.

For Pete’s sake, Hollywood. Enough with the remakes! You have thousands upon thousands of scripts that you’ve bought and then never filmed. Film some of them. I don’t want to be sitting here in 15 years to see a trailer for the remake of xXx or Extreme Ops. Make. Something. New.
No, electing a one term Senator with no experience in anything other than half ass rabble rousing as POTUS and Leader of the Free World was a bit of a mistake.
This is a farking travesty.
But the big question is: Does anyone fire their gun up in the air and go “Arrrrgh!”?

They want to disrupt the international financial markets? By giving paper money to villagers, and stealing some gold?
Have they noticed Greece recently?

Never ever count out Hollywood’s ability to make something worse. Road House 2 managed to be worse than Road House. Or imagine Barb Wire. Horrible film and a horrible remake of Casablanca. Now imagine it starring Lena Dunham.
The second you finish saying “it can’t get any worse” is when a producer will wander along and start suggesting to put a giant mechanical spider in the film.
…What’s wrong with giant mechanical spiders in films? I’d like to see more of those, honestly.
