Eight hours today driving up to NJ and back. Not as awful as it sounds…

…but not something that I’d care to do every day. But, I now have effectively an extra day of travel-less vacation.  So, did I miss anything?

  1. Well, happiness *is* NJ in your rearview mirror.
    .
You missed another PP video. Other than that, it’s been slow.

    1. Also, Planned Parenthood convinced a court to issue a restraining order to prevent them from releasing any more videos. Didn’t stop them.

      1. Wasn’t PP. Was a different company that had very close dealings with PP. The same one the phlebotomist was technically employed by.

        1. Interesting, hadn’t heard that angle. So .. one wonders whether any of the other tapes (rumor says 9 total) are now embargoed. As rumor also says they released the *least* damning one first ..

Oh, and Paglia commented on the media silence, you really ought to read that, if you haven’t already.

I have to say, I’m really enjoying this expose’.. I’m watching the organization employ a mix of tactics mostly used by progressives for the last several decades, and do so *well*…

The head-explosions on the left are at least *in part* a realization that, once again, they changed the rules, but once we catch up ..

          1. Yeah, I read Paglia’s article. She is literally the only author that will get me to read anything on salon.com. She also seems to be the only prominent person left of center that still has common sense.

  2. Newsmax specials seems to have started appearing in the bodies of your blog posts. WUWT?

      1. Okay, it’s not a virus/bug, thank you for confirming.

Not that I don’t consider NewsMax a trustworthy source, mind, just .. not .. *expected*.

      2. It’s an experiment.

Ugh. It’s an annoying one. I don’t begrudge you the income, but it’s distracting … and I think that any of your readers who didn’t click on the ads in a sidebar also would be very unlikely to click on them embedded in your posts. It would help if the ads weren’t so insultingly stupid: “Hackers Release Top Secret Money Making Software to Public!”

        But, obviously, it’s your blog.

I don’t suppose you’d consider getting rid of these ads if we promised to click on a couple of the sidebar ads every day, would you?

          1. Heh. If only there were some guy named Loe Mane on Twitter or somewhere that could make a reasoned guess as to your opinion on the matter.

A long time ago I knew someone who had ads on a site, who said that the ad networks did not like it when people clicked on the ads to help out the site owner, and especially didn’t like it if said owner suggested they do so (the latter was a not uncommon thing at the time!) because they felt, probably with some justification, that those clicks were essentially wasted, since the odds of anyone buying stuff the ads hawked were close to nil.

            1. That’s why I can’t really comment off the record, either. They’re buying that ad space in good faith: I gotta sell it to them in good faith, too.

          2. I do occasionally click on some of the ads in your sidebar out of genuine interest. It’s just … odd … that the one-line ads embedded in your posts seem to be of the moronic “You won’t believe what this 1 weird rule that leaves drivers furious & shocked revealed!” variety that your readers would be very, very unlikely to click through except by accident.

  3. Re RedState gathering. I am an hour & 15 minutes north of Atlanta if you want a break! LOL
    We have a pool.
