I *will* miss Jon Stewart, actually. He was a great coal mine canary.

If a scandal freaked him out, then you knew that the Democrats were in full Panic Mode over it.  Aside from that… eh. He’ll be gone tomorrow, and the world will not have changed.

But I can see how people might be upset that the show was over. *I* was upset after the last episode of Babylon 5, after all.  After a while, you see your favorite entertainments as being part of an orderly universe, you know what I mean?  And re-runs are never the same, somehow. Hopefully they’ll find something else to veg out to…

  1. I still miss Star Trek Enterprise and Firefly, and doubt I’ll ever get over that.

    1. I’m still annoyed at O.J. Simpson because his idiotic low-speed chase disrupted a key episode of “The X Flies”…

      1. I remember being mad because it interrupted a baseball game.
Although I can’t quite recall why that particular game was a big deal. I’m pretty certain it involved the Orioles somehow.

  2. But that last episode was everything that was needed. Especially JMS turning the lights off of the station.

    1. Indeed. What I found really amazing about the final episode of B5 was that it was shot a year in advance– and no one leaked spoilers. The people that cared enough to want to know didn’t want to be spoiled and didn’t want to spoil anyone else.
