Barack Obama ruins the night of kids with cancer.

Mind you, the Media is helping him here.

This is how a government official behaves when he knows, deep in his bones, that he will never have to answer for any sort of jackassery.

The U.S. Secret Service ordered hundreds of parents and their cancer-stricken children out of Lafayette Square on Saturday night, barricading the park for at least two hours and disrupting the group’s plans for a candlelight vigil to raise awareness of and research funding for childhood cancer, participants said.

[Quick note: they had a permit.]

Police officers and agents on the scene told some parents that the closure was necessary because President Obama had left the White House from an entrance near the square to address the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s annual gala.

Now, did Barack Obama twirl his nonexistent mustache and say A-ha! I shall now torment some children with cancer!? Nope. That’s not really the problem with Barack Obama. The problem with Barack Obama is that he’s the political equivalent of a ten-year-old spoiled brat who has never had to be mindful of others, and thus doesn’t actually know how to be mindful. And, like the ten year old, a lot of the blame for that can be laid at the feet of the people who were supposed to, but somehow failed to, teach Barack Obama better manners or more sense.

In this case, that should have been the Media. I mean, I get that ‘journalists’ hate and fear my side of the aisle. I accept that. But they treat Barack Obama with an over-solicitous zealotry that is far more intense than their usual protection of Democrats. It’s like the Media walks around all day quietly terrified that Barack Obama will decide to smile, drop his pants, and defecate all over the floor…

    1. Not exactly that. The Media, like any other arm of soft Socialist-Liberalism – actually like any ideology or religion – has a dogma that must be upheld. In this dogma the Black Man is Heroic, Wise, Wonderful and the best combination of Jesus, Gandalf, Ivanhoe, and some mystical shaman. As Chris Matthews pointed out, he (and his colleagues) are there to make sure that the first Black President does not fail. If the first Black President fails then their entire Dogma is called into question.

That will not happen, no matter how many sick orphans they got to run over to make sure the road is smooth for the First Black President. Are they racist, thinking a black man cannot survive without their help? Oh heck yeah! Does that stop them? Oh heck no!

  1. I’ve said it before: Someday I’d like to read a news report about Our President that didn’t leave me muttering vile obscenities under my breath.

    Hasn’t happened yet …

  2. It seems, especially of late, that for every thing Obama does he includes a big middle finger directed at the American public.
