At a guess?
- On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton’s team will now take this opportunity to smash Bernie Sanders in the mouth, then stab him in the kidneys once he’s on the ground. I speak metaphorically, although… well, that’s a libelous thought. At any rate: Sanders may now be safely disposed of.
- On the Republican side? Any candidate who lets a day go by without taking a smack at Hillary Clinton is committing political malpractice. Pay attention to which candidates can segue into the New Order of Things, and which ones cannot. Seriously, we now have about seven months where we can grind the Democratic candidate down. It’d be a crime and a blunder not to take advantage of it.
One last note: if Hillary Clinton gets indicted, all bets are off. Yeah, I know. ‘If.’ But I still want to note that… just in case.
One word of caution .. McCain lost *in part* because his entire campaign was predicated on having Hillary as an opponent, and never seemed to come to grips with grappling Obama.

The *in part* is important, of course .. McCain also lost because he’s a loser .. so, while taking pot shots at Hillary is incumbent upon our wannabe-nominees .. so is keeping up the general shots at the Obama administration.

It pains me to have to say this even, but our candidate should not smack Clinton on sophomoric crap like he thinks she has an ugly face and America don’t want to see her face and if she was smarter she would be as rich as he is, which, as he has mentioned, is very rich.
I am assuming your argument is that being sophomoric can “turn off the center”, yes?

I would counter-argue that the Dem SJW wing going full-metal-war-on-women has the same risk .. they pilloried Romney over a description of organized resumes of qualified individuals…

Seriously, deliver a “Her net worth is $X”, include a jibe referencing the cattle futures scandal, and end with an *obvious* joke .. or blend the last two “y’know, I’m smart enough to have not gotten caught with bribes disguised as cattle futures”…

Actually no. While it’s a legitimate beef to be upset at someone because they say something that will tick off a group we will need to win, my gripe here is simpler. The sophomoric insults actually tick me off directly. I’m not on board with this guy at all and he doesn’t help his case whenever words come out of his mouth.

To the Dems, every attack thrown at Hillary is *politics* (“the elephant is like a fan”) ..

Repubs don’t get away unscathed .. to the average Law & Order GOP type, this is a *legal* issue (“the elephant is like a snake”) ..

It’s been this way for a very long time, of course .. which probably means it’s gonna continue .. and meanwhile, it also means the above blind types will continue to not understand one another, nor to embrace the healing power of ‘AND’.

The Obama campaign saturated the airwaves in spring and summer 2012 with Romney attack ads to diminish whatever enthusiasm there was for him. Let’s take a lesson from that. I hope the Kochs, the NRA, the Club for Growth and the RNC will do the same for Hilary (or whoever the presumed nominee is next spring.)
The Dems will continue attacking gun rights until they get a poll showing how it hurts them among middle class suburban African American males in places like Cleveland , PG county Maryland, North Carolina and Florida. By then it may be too late, and I hope the NRA ads are epic.
BTW the best part of the American Rifleman is always , for me , the self defense stories . Film one of those withe a black guy or better a black gal , and watch out . A passing reference to the Jim Crow era gun laws would be a fine add on to the NRA pitch .
