Robber tries to rob store with fake gun, gets shot by man with real one.

Via @charlescwcooke comes this reminder as to why you should not go into a convenience store wearing a mask, brandishing a gun, and demanding money:

As the alleged robber pointed his gun at the store’s employees, however, a customer pulled out his own gun.

The robber’s gun, it turns out, was fake.

The customer’s was not.

I am actually sorry that the man is dead – but I feel even sorrier for the guy who had to shoot him. And yes, ‘had.’ A man who takes out a gun and points it at people is a man who has just demonstrated his willingness to engage in an act of violence. It is nobody else’s fault if people decided to take that man at his word.

PS: It does not actually matter that the gun was fake.

  1. I feel zero sympathy for the attempted robber. None. At. All. That’s one less P.O.S. sucking up tax dollars in prison.
